Acevedo is a sector in the city of Medellin, Colombia, in which CDUC (Club Deportivo Union Cristiano) spreads the word of God through the sport of football. CDUC has been running since the mid 70s and at this point in time have coaches and pastors in over 10 sectors in the city and come into contact with over 1000 kids a week. Please keep the workers of this sector in your prayers. Weimar Guzman (the head coach), Nelson Buitrago (assistant) and Daniel Castro (Chaplain), all of whom are local pastors.

Partnership with MBSC

As an extension of David Noy's short-term mission trip, Mooroolbark Baptist Soccer Club, David's home club, decided to develop the partnership with Acevedo and to expand the links between the two clubs. Acevedo wear the MBSC logo on their shirts and MBSC will continue to sponsor Villa Niza. MBSC members are encouraged to pray for, email and consider short-term mission to the club similar to what David has experienced.

Short-Mission Trip

In January 2011, eight of our club journeyed to Colombia to assist our sister club Acevedo (formerly Villa Niza).
